I was born in a Christian home in Chile in 1952 where I completed my entire education. In 1978, after finishing my 3rd year of University, I left my country to seek new opportunities in Canada. I am part of a large family, seven brother and two sisters. I live now in Milton, Ontario, happily married to Zully, and I have six children.
 
In 1985 I established Cornerstone Building Services, a company dedicated to serve the Building Maintenance and Janitorial needs in the South Western Ontario Facility Industry. Initially, there were only two employees, my wife Zully and me. The steady growth that my company experienced during the next two decades allowed me to hire qualified people, and expand it into other provinces across Canada. In 2007, Cornerstone was acquired by Brightstar Integrated Cleaning Solutions.
 
In 1998 I was asked to join an International Spanish Online Prayer Ministry that started in San Jose, Costa Rica back in 1997; a year later I was named Vice President and Executive Director for Canada. I am still very involved with this Ministry, devoting time and energy to help people in their quest for God.
 
It was in November 2000, in Cancun, Mexico that I met John C. Maxwell for the first time. I was invited along with 200 other leaders from all over Latin America to attend the first LIDERE Conference in which John was a Keynote Speaker (LIDERE is Liderazgo del Reino, which translates Kingdom Leadership) I was given the Spanish version of the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership at that time and it transformed and enhanced my life in a way that I cannot easily describe.
 
In 2004 I became very ill; later was diagnosed with Liver Cancer, and not much hope was given; in fact, I was told that I would die within weeks. The prognosis was bleak! Through prayer and a will to fight back, I was healed miraculously and got back on my feet in May 2005. It`s truly a miracle, God`s intervention in my life. After experiencing this near death situation my whole life was changed, and I learned to appreciate even insignificant things that we take so much for granted. It is with this perspective that I share with people how to maximize their time, enjoy family, and be successful in life.
